Jonathan Woodhouse is a Countertenor and Flautist based in Salisbury, Wiltshire.

Performing

Jonathan performs regularly as a singer and flautist in Salisbury and the surrounding area. He is a Lay Vicar in Salisbury Cathedral Choir and is in demand as a freelance consort singer and soloist. As a flautist he has performed with Salisbury Symphony Orchestra, Worcester Philharmonic Orchestra and Cardiff University Symphony Orchestra.

Teaching

Jonathan is a singing and flute teacher who enjoys a busy life as a peripatetic teacher in Salisbury and the surrounding area. He has experience of teaching all ages and abilities and has enjoyed success with ABRSM, Trinity and LCM examination boards. He is also director of the Sixth Form Choir at Bishop Wordsworth's Grammar School.

Salisbury Cathedral Choir

Jonathan has been a Lay Vicar in Salisbury Cathedral Choir since 2019, having previously held similar positions in the Cathedral Choirs of Worcester, Wells and Llandaff. As a member of the choir, he performs in daily services, recordings, broadcasts and the annual Southern Cathedrals Festival.
